Valdemorillo inaugurates the first smart swimming pool in the Community of Madrid with the nagi system
The municipality of Valdemorillo has reached a major milestone in the digitalisation of sports facilities by inaugurating the first smart swimming pool in the Community of Madrid, thanks to the implementation of nagi smartpool technology at the Eras Cerradas Municipal Sports Centre.
The official launch event took place on 16 December and was attended by the Mayor of Valdemorillo, Santiago Villena; the President of the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation (RFEN), Fernando Carpena Pérez; Javier Bosch CEO of nagi; and José Miguel López, Director of Institutional Relations at nagi. The initiative is also supported by the Spanish Sports Council (CSD).
This inauguration forms part of the national project for the digitalisation of municipal swimming pools and marks the activation of the E.P.I.C. Network, a pioneering initiative promoted by the RFEN and nagi. Its objective is to equip aquatic facilities with advanced technology to improve monitoring, safety, inclusion and the overall user experience.
At nagi smartpool, we celebrate this achievement as a decisive step towards a safer, more connected and intelligent pool model, aligned with the current needs of sport, public management and citizens. As highlighted by Mayor Santiago Villena, this project represents “a significant step forward for the municipality and for sport in the Madrid region.”
