Ceuta presents nagi smartpool system

nagi strengthens its expansion in Spain with the deployment of its technology at the Díaz-Flor Swimming Pool in Ceuta

nagi has presented its aquatic monitoring system at the José Ramón López Díaz-Flor Swimming Pool, an innovative solution designed to enhance safety, optimize facility management, and transform the user experience in aquatic environments. This deployment represents a new step forward in the digitalization strategy of Ceuta’s sports ecosystem.

The event was attended by the Councillor for Commerce, Employment, Tourism and Sports and President of the Ceuta Sports Institute (ICD), Nicola Cecchi Bisoni; the Director General of Sports, Sergio Aguilera Luna; and the ICD Manager, Araceli García Osuna, along with representatives from the local sports sector. The President of the Spanish Swimming Federation, Fernando Carpena, was also present.

The Caballa Swimming Club also took part in the event, with two athletes, their coach, Peter Kubiscko, and the club’s president, Carlos Matoso, who carried out a live demonstration of the system in the water.

nagi’s technology enables real-time monitoring of swimmers’ activity through smart devices integrated into swimming goggles, providing data such as distance, time, and pace. In addition, the system maintains continuous communication with lifeguards, enabling early detection of potential incidents and improving response capacity in risk situations.

According to the President of the Spanish Swimming Federation, Fernando Carpena, “digitalization in aquatic facilities represents a great opportunity for the development of sport,” also highlighting the historical challenges of introducing technology in aquatic environments and the value of current advancements. In this regard, he expressed his gratitude for the collaboration of Ceuta’s institutions and the Caballa Swimming Club, as well as the presence of local Olympic medalist and former water polo player Lorena Miranda.

For his part, Nicola Cecchi Bisoni framed this initiative within a broader vision of digital transformation: “The future lies in digitalizing as many sectors as possible,” announcing new initiatives aimed at improving sports management in the city.

Likewise, the Director General of Sports, Sergio Aguilera, emphasized the system’s impact on safety, noting that it will strengthen the connection between swimmers and lifeguards, enabling faster and more effective intervention.

With this deployment, nagi continues to consolidate its presence in the field of aquatic facilities, becoming part of a connected ecosystem that promotes innovation, safety, and efficiency in sports management.

nagi continues to grow and expand, developing technological solutions that contribute to the evolution of swimming pools into smarter, safer, and more user-centered environments.
