SEK Catalunya implements nagi and sets a milestone in school pool safety in Catalonia
The school SEK-Catalunya, part of the SEK International Schools network, takes a decisive step in educational innovation by becoming the first private center in Catalonia to implement nagi Smartpool, an advanced pool digitalization solution designed to improve water safety in educational environments.
This implementation represents a significant milestone for both the school and the sector, incorporating technology capable of monitoring swimmers’ activity in real time, supporting lifeguards in supervision, and strengthening the prevention of incidents in swimming pools. In this way, SEK-Catalunya raises its safety standards and reinforces its commitment to student wellbeing.
The integration of nagi not only optimizes pool safety protocols, but also introduces a new way of managing aquatic activity within the educational environment, based on data, control, and immediate response capability. This advancement positions the school as a benchmark in the adoption of technology applied to education and sports.
At the launch event, David Bauza-Capart, director of the school, was present along with Roger Mauri Plana, sports coordinator, Jenifer Pérez Rodríguez, lifeguard, Margarita Correa, coach, and the school’s communications team.
From nagi, the project was led by Jorge Montero, Commercial Director Spain, and Brenda García, Account Manager, supporting the entire implementation process.
With this initiative, SEK-Catalunya not only strengthens its position as an innovative institution within SEK International Schools, but also helps set a new standard in school pool safety, relying on technology as a key ally in risk prevention and student protection.
