We give you 5 tips to choose the right one
1. Are there lifeguards?
It seems obvious, but many pools are unsupervised. A lifeguard can act in seconds and prevent a tragedy. Nine out of 10 drownings occur where no one is watching.
2. Do you have technology like nagi?
Today, there are systems like Nagi that detect underwater movements and provide immediate alerts. It’s like having eyes underwater, even when you’re not looking. More and more schools are now using this technology. Learn about those that already have this system here.
3. Is it well closed and signposted?
Look for pools with fences, clear rules, and separate areas for children. The more physical controls there are, the better.
4. Does the staff know what to do?
Feel free to ask if they’re trained in first aid. It’s your right. If they have a defibrillator (AED), even better.
5. Do you feel safe?
Yes, your intuition counts too. If you don’t trust something, look elsewhere. There are plenty of pools… but only one childhood.
